Planning your wedding

Are you beginning the New Year newly engaged? First, congratulations! Planning your wedding can be very daunting, so here are few tips to get you started.

Before our bridal consultants meet with you, we ask a few questions to help get the creative process started. Here’s the three initial questions we like to ask:

1st - Do you have a color palette in mind for your wedding? For example, perhaps you are a pink girl and have always dreamed of pink wedding. While many brides choose the traditional white/ivory bridal bouquet as shown above, color can be infused in both the bridal and bridal party flowers. If you have a color palette chosen, this will help us guide you to the right flowers to work with your color palette.

2nd - Do you have a theme for your wedding? When describing your wedding do you say you want a “rustic chic” wedding or perhaps a “cocktail affair” styled event? While a theme is not necessary (and may develop over time), if you do have one in mind, it can influence the details of your floral plan.

3rd - Do you have any favorite flowers? (Or perhaps any you don’t care for?) Frequently, brides want peonies, but sadly, peonies are only available certain times of the year. If you can’t time your wedding for peony season, perhaps a similar shape and sized garden rose will achieve your look. Your consultant will work with you to make the perfect floral suggestions just for your wedding.

Our bridal consultants are here to help you through the creative process and guide you to achieve the wedding of your dreams. We would love to meet you! Call us at (503) 281-0310 to setup your personal wedding consultation.
