Color study: whites and greens

An always elegant and classic combination, whites and greens are one of the most requested color palettes for florals. This woodsy centerpiece consists of white and green hydrangea, goosenecks, garden roses, yarrow and fern accents.

Classic Spring

Have a wonderful collection of pottery or glassware? A fun trend for events and weddings is the use of varied sized vessels. This event used lovely vintage white milk glass in different style and sizes. The design was a classic spring garden look with tulips, ranunculus, sweet peas lisanthus and accents of jasmine vine. The use of warm coral added a real pop to the creamy mixes.

Wedding style: organic shaped bouquets

Loose, organic shaped bouquets are less formal than traditional rounded bouquets, but remain naturally elegant. Both the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets shown here have an elongated front drape and whispy, flowing accents. Fragrant blooms were used in these mixes and included sweet peas, gardenias, garden roses, tuberose, and scented herbs.

Fun with veggies!

A recent event called for a bountiful harvest theme. These clever arrangements were mixes of vegetables, herbs and seasonal accents. Turnips, artichokes, salad greens, beets and carrots added a whimsical touch and were a fun diversion from your typical winter product selection.

Cheating winter, a bit...

Somehow it already feels like springtime in Portland. Our winter has been mild, and we are already starting to see early signs of spring. The flowering branches have arrived. We currently have quince and forsythia, and expect to see plum soon. Winter/spring bulbs are in our mixes, look for lots of tulips and hyacinth. Want a little early springtime, too? Choose a spring palette of peach, soft pinks, pale yellows, or even a pop of bright pink or orange to liven your mood. Because it is really still winter...

Wedding style: Juliette garden rose

The lovely Juliette rose continues to be a favorite for our brides. This garden rose has a perfect cabbage shape and is the just right shade of soft peach. It pairs so well (as shown here) with the creamy Vendela rose and the alluring peach Finesse rose. Rounding out the mix is hydrangea, silver brunnia and dusty miller.
