In Season: lilac

Nothing says springtime quite like the alluring scent of fresh lilac, and finally lilac season has arrived.  A true seasonal bloom, the lilac season is only a mere few weeks in spring. Lilac is available in lovely shades of light to deep purple, with additional varieties in white and pink. By itself, or in a mix like the one shown here with double hellebore and garden roses, lilac is always an elegant choice for the spring season.

Big and Bold arrangements

Sometimes, it just makes sense to go big. Large scale arrangements are typically used for events, weddings, parties and memorials. (And special occasions such as milestone birthdays!) Larger blooms add impact, flowers such as open roses, hydrangea, dahlias, peonies, callas are great choices for large scale arrangements.
